Description
Some sewing knowledge such as having made a project, or how a garment goes together is recommended.
This course is for leaners who wish to be able to alter, repair, prolong the life of existing garments.
Basic introduction through discussion to fashion and the effect on the environment.
We introduce the differences between natural and synthetic fabrics and their effect on the environment.
Basic introduction to alter or change a garment to fit better.
Basic introduction in how to make a garment into something completely different e.g. T-shirt into a bag.
How to embellish an existing project such as a garment, bag, gloves, hats, or shoes.
Peer learning due to projects being very individual.
Increase in confidence to attempt something new and individualised
