Description
"This course is aimed at people who want to develop a range of sewing and soft furnishing skills, whilst also considering how these can be used to make money or improve your employability prospects.
During the course we will show you basic skills to recycle or alter a piece of clothing of your choice, the aim being to help you develop your practical skills, whilst also exploring how this can help you make money or improve your employability prospects. During the course, we will show you basic skills that can be used for home sewing or larger projects such as: Throw, Quilt, patchwork cover, memory cushions etc.
We will use domestic sewing machines, so you can practice at home with your own machine – you will have enough knowledge to explore other ideas if you choose to make further garment changes in the future. Explore ow to recycle and alter clothes combined with sewing techniques to improve your skills whilst also looking at wider employability skills.
